This Humbucker is a replica of the bridge pickup in the Super Strat that changed the world in 1978. Mismatched coils give this pickup a unique voice that has some almost single coil overtones.

Wound on an antique winding machine with Plain Enamel wire, and using tuned Alnico Magnets, built around exclusive custom pole screws, precision milled parts and select grade steel for all the components. Every pickup is painstakingly assembled with the utmost care producing a pickup that is the ultimate in quality. Every pickup is individually Serial Numbered making it a unique creation.

Options: Vintage style two conductor or 4 conductor lead wire if you intend to split this pickup. These pickups are available without a cover in black or zebra, with a cover in nickel, brushed nickel or aged nickel. As with all Arcane Inc. pickups custom options are available, there are a huge number of variables we can tweak the specs to suit your taste.

1978 Engraving on uncovered humbuckers:  The pickups come standard with this engraving on the bridge pickup, not on the neck if ordered as a set of two.  This is optional, you can request plain non engraved when ordering if you prefer.

They are sold individually or as a matched set.

Bridge: DC Resistance 8.75 K

Neck: DC Resistance 8.1k Alnico 5

Neck: Triple Mod DC Resistance 8.2k, also works well with the 57 Experience neck DC Resistance 7.8k

2 Conductor: Braided Shield - Ground Black - Hot

4 Conductor: Black – Hot Green and Bare – Ground Red and White – Soldered and Isolated

Coils: Green and Red – Screw Coil Black and White - Slug Coil

Standard Spaced: 1 15/16” inch - 49.2mm (Tune O Matic or Wrap Around Bridges Gibson Spaced)

Trem Spaced: 2 1/16” inch - 53mm (Tremolos, Hard Tail Bridges Fender Spaced)
